Fence Styles
Fence styles we build
The style decides how the fence looks and what it does. Most styles come in more than one material, so choose the job first and then the look.

Where most Conroe projects start
Most backyard jobs around Conroe come down to privacy or a front-yard picket. The other styles we build are listed below.
Privacy
Solid six- or eight-foot fencing. Wood, vinyl, and composite all work, and board-on-board or shadowbox builds stay closed even as boards dry and shrink.
Privacy fencesPicket
A lower, spaced fence that frames the front yard or garden, keeps small dogs in, and still lets you see the street.

Semi-privacy
Lattice-top, shadowbox, and spaced-board designs that block most of the view but still let light and air through.
Semi-privacyHorizontal & modern
Boards or slats run sideways, set tight or spaced open, which suits newer home designs.
Horizontal & modernOrnamental
Aluminum or steel pickets for front yards, entries, and lots on the water or a golf course.
OrnamentalPool enclosures
Barrier fencing with self-closing, self-latching gates, planned around the code and HOA rules for your address.
Pool enclosuresSplit rail & post-and-rail
Rails only, for marking a boundary, lining a drive, or edging a front pasture.
Split railGates & openers
Single walk gates, double drive gates, and openers powered by solar or a wired line, framed so they stay square over time.

Height, tight spacing, dig guards, and latches chosen for how your dog actually acts.
Pet fencesHow to choose a style for a Conroe-area lot
Begin with what the fence needs to do, then match it to the lot and the rules that apply.
- Small backyards in newer subdivisions. On 40- to 60-foot lots with houses close together, privacy or semi-privacy is the usual choice. These communities often have HOA guidelines, and we confirm the current ones before you settle on a design.
- Lots backing to a lake, pond, or greenbelt. Rear fences on these lots are often open designs like ornamental metal, which keeps the view. Lake Conroe lakefront lots also need the SJRA line checked first.
- Wooded acre lots. Long, uneven lines through trees work well with split rail, post-and-rail, or wire, with a privacy section close to the house.
- Acreage with animals. Pasture and horse lines north toward Huntsville and east toward Cleveland need livestock-rated fencing and wide gates. See farm & ranch.
- Pools and dogs. The style comes second to the job here: a pool barrier needs the right height, gaps, and gate hardware, and a dog fence has to stop climbing and digging.
