Plan first
Before you fence in Southern Crossing
Half an acre is a lot of fence line. A little planning keeps the cost in check.
- Find the corners. Rural lots often have hidden or missing pins. We work off a survey or marked corners.
- Old fence on the line. If a previous fence is already there, we check whether it sits on the boundary before reusing or replacing it.
- HOA rules. Listings show dues; we confirm current requirements for your lot.
- County roads and ditches. We keep fence and gate posts out of the road ditch so drainage and mowing still work.
- Texas 811. Locates come before every post hole.
HOA and county requirements can change. We confirm the current rules for your lot before we quote.
Half-acre lots south of Cleveland
Southern Crossing is in Liberty County, south of Cleveland and west of US 59, roughly between Cleveland and Splendora. Addresses use Cleveland 77327, and streets are county roads in the CR 3740 and CR 3749 series.
There are at least six sections. Liberty County approved Section 6, with 176 lots, in 2019. Lots in recent listings are around half an acre, and the homes are a mix of manufactured and site-built, with new construction still going up.
Some lots already have a fence and a gate. Others are bare. Either way, half an acre is enough land that the choice of material makes a big difference in price.

Southern Crossing fence questions
Do you serve Southern Crossing?
Yes. Cleveland is about 30 miles east of our office at 1135 Grand Central Pkwy in Conroe via SH 105, and Southern Crossing is just south of town, west of US 59. Call or text (713) 331-9419.
Are there HOA rules for fences?
Listings show HOA dues, but we haven’t found the association’s name or fence rules. We check which rules cover your property before we quote.
My lot already has an old fence. Can you replace part of it?
Yes. Some lots here come partly fenced. We can replace one side, add a gate, or rebuild the whole line, and we haul off the old material.
What's the most affordable way to fence a half-acre?
Chain link or field wire usually costs the least per foot on a lot this size. Many owners pair that with a short run of wood privacy fence where they want screening. See our pricing guide for typical ranges.
