The address says Conroe, but the city is Panorama Village. Panorama Village has been an incorporated city since 1972, so fence permits and rules come from the City of Panorama Village, not the City of Conroe. We check with the city before we quote.
A neighborhood built around the course
Panorama Village covers about a square mile west of I-45, reached from League Line Rd and Thunderbird Dr. It grew up around what is now Panorama Golf Club, a 27-hole course played as three nines, with a clubhouse and the Greenbrier Grill. About 2,500 people live there, according to the 2020 census.
That history shows in the lots. Many homes back to a fairway, streets are lined with mature trees, and older homes sit next to newer infill like the Panorama-Quail Creek section. The city also has three parks, a community pool, and a pavilion, and Lake Conroe is close by.
For a fence, the main questions are what the city allows, how to keep a course view, and how to build under big trees.

Picket fencesBefore you fence in Panorama Village
- City of Panorama Village rules. The city has its own planning and zoning, ordinances, and code enforcement. We haven’t found fence rules posted publicly, so we check with City Hall for your lot instead of assuming Conroe’s rules apply.
- HOA or deed restrictions. Sources conflict on whether an HOA covers the city, so we check the deed restrictions for your section before we plan.
- Golf course boundaries. We find your property line on the survey before setting posts along the course.
- Mature trees. We plan post spacing around roots and trim only where the fence needs room.
- Texas 811. We request utility locates before every dig.
City ordinances and deed restrictions can change. We confirm the current rules for your lot before quoting.
Questions
Panorama Village fence questions
Do you serve Panorama Village?
Yes. We work from our Conroe office at 1135 Grand Central Pkwy, and Panorama Village is a short drive north on I-45 to League Line Rd. Call or text (713) 331-9419 for a free estimate.
Do I need a permit from Conroe or from Panorama Village?
Panorama Village is its own incorporated city, so fence permits and rules come from the City of Panorama Village, not the City of Conroe, even though addresses say Conroe. We check the city’s current requirements for that property before we quote.
Is there an HOA in Panorama Village?
Sources disagree on whether an HOA applies, so we don’t assume either way. We check the deed restrictions and any association that covers your street before we plan the fence.
What fence works on a golf-course lot?
Owners who back to the course usually want to keep the view, so open ornamental metal is a common choice. We confirm what the city and any deed restrictions allow on that line first.
Can you replace an older wood fence under big trees?
Yes. Many lots here have mature trees, so we plan posts around roots, pull the old footings, and use sealed or stained boards that handle shade and damp better.
