Repairs

We check the entire line before we fix one section

A blown-out section is easy to spot. What caused it often isn’t. It might be one rotted post, or it might be a whole line of posts that have been rotting at ground level for years and finally gave way in the wind.

So on every repair visit, we check the posts, rails, and gates along the full line. If the fence is sound, we fix the damaged part and match it to what’s there. If the whole line is close to failing, we tell you, and we price a replacement next to the repair so you can compare.

Either way, you get a written quote and photos of what we found.

Around Conroe

Why fences wear out here

Montgomery County weather and ground are tough on wood and steel alike.

Wet ground and shifting soil

Clay that swells when it rains and shrinks in August slowly pushes posts out of line, while sandy ground can let them lean. Low lots stay wet after big storms, and wet soil rots posts at the ground line.

Gulf storms and falling pines

Tropical storms bring wind that loads a solid fence like a sail, and tall pines drop limbs on whatever is below. Along the West Fork of the San Jacinto, neighborhoods like River Plantation have a long history of flooding, including Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

Humidity and sprinklers

Months of damp air feed mildew and rot from the bottom of the boards up. A sprinkler that hits the same pickets every morning speeds it along.

Fences reaching their age

Most homes in Silverstone and Teaswood went up in the 2000s, so many fences there are reaching the age where posts and boards give out. Newer builder fences in Conroe’s master-planned communities can also start to lean within a few years.

Questions

Fence repair questions

Can you repair just one section of my fence?

Yes, if the rest of the fence is sound. We match boards, rails, and posts as closely as we can. New wood will look brighter at first, and a stain can help it blend.

When does replacement make more sense than repair?

When posts are failing along most of the line, or rot has reached the rails as well as the pickets, a repair usually buys only a season or two. We show you what we found and price both options so you can decide.

Can I send photos for a quick idea of the repair?

Yes. Text photos of the damage and the whole fence line to (713) 331-9419. We can often give a rough idea from photos, and we confirm the price on site.

Do you fix gates that drag or won't latch?

Yes. Most sagging gates need a stronger frame, a diagonal brace, better hinges, or a reset post. We fix the cause, not only the latch.
