Fences & Gates in Silverstone

Gated one-acre lots on Conroe’s southwest side, with a lot of fences reaching the age where posts give out.

Twenty years in, the fence line tells the story

Most of Silverstone’s homes went up around the mid-2000s. Wood fences built then have had close to two decades of Gulf Coast humidity, summer heat, and soggy ground after storms, and you can see it in leaning runs and gates that drag. At least one recent listing in the neighborhood mentions a replaced fence, and more owners are weighing the same decision.

The lots make it a bigger decision than in most subdivisions. Silverstone has about 150 homes on roughly one-acre lots behind a gated entrance off Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd S, and some lots back to greenbelt. Rebuilding a perimeter on an acre is a project worth planning carefully.

A small note: some listings show the postal city as “Houston 77304.” It’s the same Silverstone in Conroe. Don’t confuse it with a Silverstone Lane in The Woodlands.

Plan first

Before you fence in Silverstone

HOA review

The Silverstone HOA covers common areas and reviews changes. We haven’t found published fence rules, so we get the current requirements for that property and handle the submittal. No guessing on height or style.

Greenbelt backing

If your back line faces greenbelt, there may be an easement or a different standard for that side. We check the survey and plat first.

City or county

We confirm whether your address sits inside Conroe city limits. If it does, the city’s Building Inspections and Permits department may need to sign off.

811 and old concrete

We request Texas 811 locates before digging, and on a replacement we pull the old post footings so new posts go into clean holes.

HOA rules and permit requirements can change. We confirm the current rules for your lot before quoting.

One acre, three sides

Fences that suit Silverstone

On a one-acre lot, it often makes sense to use a different fence for each part of the property.

Iron at the front

Ornamental steel and a matching drive gate fit a gated neighborhood and keep the frontage open.

Privacy near the house

A rebuilt cedar privacy fence around the back yard and patio, with posts set deep for wet-season ground.

Privacy fences

Wire or rail on the far lines

Along the back and the greenbelt edge, welded wire or rail fencing covers the footage at a lower cost per foot.

Questions

Silverstone fence questions

Do you serve Silverstone?

Yes. Silverstone is a short drive from our office at 1135 Grand Central Pkwy in Conroe. Call or text (713) 331-9419 and we’ll arrange gate access for the estimate.

My fence is about 20 years old. Repair or replace?

It depends on the posts. If most posts are solid and only boards or a gate are failing, a repair may carry it for years. If posts are soft at the ground in several places, replacing the run is usually the better value. We’ll show you what we find.

Who approves fences in Silverstone?

The Silverstone HOA. We haven’t seen published fence guidelines, so we confirm the current requirements for that property and prepare the paperwork before quoting.

Can you fence the full acre?

Yes. We price perimeter work by the foot with gates and corners itemized, and we can mix materials, for example iron in front and wood or wire along the back.

Do I need a permit?

That depends on whether your address is inside Conroe city limits. We check what applies to your lot, along with HOA review, before we build.
