Spring address, Conroe ISD schools
Imperial Oaks is not in Conroe. Its mailing address is Spring 77386, it sits along Rayford Road just east of The Woodlands, and it is about 15 miles south of downtown Conroe. It shows up on Conroe lists because it is zoned to Conroe ISD and sits in unincorporated Montgomery County.
We serve it because it is an easy run down I-45 from our office, and because the neighborhood has a lot of fence work waiting. The median home here was built in 1994, so many back yards still have their original wood fences, or a second fence that is now also aging.
The community covers about 1,400 acres, with more than 150 acres set aside for recreation: five parks, three nature preserves, a 43-acre wooded preserve with greenbelt trails, a 9-acre sports complex, pools, and tennis courts. That means a lot of lots back up to trees.
Plan first
Before you fence in Imperial Oaks
Two things to sort out early: which association you belong to, and what is behind your back fence.
Know your association
The Imperial Oaks Park POA covers this community. The Falls at Imperial Oaks, to the south near the Grand Parkway and Lake Holcomb, is a separate community with its own HOA. Some sections are gated and some are not. We confirm which association reviews your lot and what it currently asks for, since we have not seen a published fence guideline.
Preserve and greenbelt lots
Lots that back up to the wooded preserves deal with roots, shade, and runoff. Some parts of the area sit near creeks. We look at grade and drainage along the rear line so the fence does not block water or settle into soft ground.
Standard-size lots
With a median lot around 7,800 square feet, most jobs are side and rear privacy fences shared with neighbors. We talk through shared fence lines and who gets the finished side before we start.
County, not city
Imperial Oaks is in unincorporated Montgomery County, so City of Conroe permits do not apply. We check what applies to the address, and we call Texas 811 so buried lines are marked before any digging.
POA and HOA rules change, and the two Imperial Oaks communities do not share one set. We confirm the current rules for your lot before we quote.
Good fits

Wood privacy replacement
Tear out a 1990s fence and rebuild on new posts, with the boards and cap style your association accepts.
Privacy fencesPool enclosures
If your back yard has a pool, a pool fence with self-closing, self-latching gates keeps kids and pets out when nobody is watching.
Pool enclosuresStaining and sealing
A newer fence that is still straight may just need a wash and stain to slow down weathering under the oaks.

Fencing a lot that faces open space
Backing up to a park or preserve gives you a quiet view. It also means your rear fence is on view to everyone who walks the trail, and that the association may care more about how it looks.
If privacy is not the goal, an open style such as ornamental aluminum keeps the view while still keeping a dog in. We can price both options side by side.

Imperial Oaks fence questions
Do you serve Imperial Oaks?

Is Imperial Oaks in Conroe?
No. It has a Spring 77386 mailing address and sits in unincorporated Montgomery County off Rayford Road. It is zoned to Conroe ISD, which is why it often shows up alongside Conroe neighborhoods.
Is this the same as The Falls at Imperial Oaks?
No. The Falls at Imperial Oaks is a separate community with its own HOA, south toward the Grand Parkway. This page covers the Imperial Oaks Park area served by the Imperial Oaks Park POA. We work in both, but the review process is different.
Who approves a new fence in Imperial Oaks?
The Imperial Oaks Park POA reviews changes in the community. We have not seen a published fence guideline, so we confirm the current requirements for your section and prepare the details the POA asks for.
Can you replace a fence that backs up to a preserve or greenbelt?
Yes. Rear fences on preserve and greenbelt lots often face more association scrutiny and more tree roots. We check both before we quote and plan the posts around the roots.
